Rob ( Rush ) Ruszkowski—Also known as Rob Rush is running for Congress to bring honesty, compassion, and courage back to Georgia’s 14th District.
Born and raised in Plainview, New York, Rob is a second-generation American of Sicilian ( Part of Italy ) and Austrian/Hungary Polish/Ukrainian Heritage. His father was a bookkeeper for over 40 years, and his mother a devoted homemaker. Growing up in a stable, loving family, Rob learned the values of integrity, hard work, and service.
After earning his finance degree from Hofstra University, Rob built a successful career in sales before founding his first business in 1991, Hi-Tech Paging Inc., in Atlanta. With only $5,000 in savings and a $5,000 gift from his father, he grew it into five thriving locations with over $1 million in annual sales. But Rob also knows the struggles of small business owners—he has lived through bankruptcy, overwork, and starting again from nothing.
Rob’s journey has also been deeply personal and spiritual. Caring for both of his parents in their final years ( 2005 - 2018 ) gave him a new understanding of empathy, sacrifice, and family. The loss of his daughter’s relationship after his divorce in 2011 was devastating, but he continues to pray and hold hope for reconciliation. These trials forged his commitment to fight for families, healing, and community.
Rob has never shied away from the political fight. In 2007/8, he worked on a U.S. Presidential Campaign as Virtual Outreach Coordinator, pioneering online organizing that outperformed larger, better-funded campaigns. Today, as the founder of the Gaia Knights Band and movement, Rob unites music, activism, and faith into a call for justice, democracy, and balance against authoritarianism and billionaire control.
Now, Rob is running for U.S. Congress not just to defeat Marjorie Taylor Greene’s politics of hate and division, but to inspire others to stand up as Gaia Knights—ordinary people ready to protect democracy and even run for office themselves.
“This campaign isn’t about me—it’s about You! - Your Voice. It’s about building a movement of courage and compassion strong enough to heal our nation and restore power to the people.” – Rob Rush
